Foshan is renowned as one of China’s leading centers of art and scholarship, with 22 heritage sites located within the premises of Foshan Lingnan Tiandi Community. This includes two national-grade heritage sites, namely Zumiao, an ancient Taoist temple that dates back to the Song Dynasty, and the Donghuali Old Town, a well-known historic area.
Leveraging the Xintiandi business model of balancing cultural restoration with modern retail, Lingnan Xintiandi was designed as a social and cultural community that retains the region’s distinctive alleyways, preserves certain historic landmarks, and adaptively revitalise historical buildings on the site. The project preserves traditional Lingnan-style architecture, while blending cosmopolitan elements and modern facilities into a lifestyle destination, offering the city’s residents and tourists a wide section of terrace restaurants and retail options.
